Devon graduated from Southern Utah University in 2019 with his bachelor’s in Physical Education Teaching & Coaching. While at Southern Utah, Devon ran D1 track & field, setting school records in all 3 hurdles events. He also qualified for NCAA Division 1 preliminaries for nationals all 4 years of competition, finishing as high as 17th in the West in the 110m hurdles. Since college, Devon moved to Wisconsin, where he is the Director of sprints & hurdles and Director of strength & conditioning for Viterbo track and field for the 4th year.
Devon continues to perfect his craft in the hurdles post graduation, finishing #12 in the United States in the 60 meter hurdles, as well as a United States top 100 finish in the 110 meter hurdles in 2024! Devon holds NASM certifications as a personal trainer and nutrition coach. With these, Devon adds to his specialties of macronutrient guidance, group fitness, stretching, & sports performance. A few more of his accomplishments include:
- Facility record holder at Ripon College, UW-Stout, UW-La Crosse, & UW-Oshkosh, University of Dubuque, University of St. Thomas, & St. Olaf College!
- New personal records in the 60mHH & 110mHH (7.77 60mHH & 13.89 110mHH)
- 4 standing program records at Southern Utah University
- 12x Big Sky All-Conference Honors, being a 4x Big Sky Conference champion
Broke the Men’s and Women’s Track & Field program record for points scored 3 years in a row. (Viterbo University)
- 42 National Qualifying marks since 2021. (Viterbo University
Currently an instructor at Winona State University where he is the director of the adapted physical education teacher preparation program. He created and teaches “techniques of speed coaching” to students in the coaching minor program as well. He is currently pursuing his doctorate degree with an emphasis on speed coaching and development. Dillon has been coaching speed for over 7 years and has worked with every age and skill level to help them get faster! Dillon was an All State athletes in Football and Track before going on to Play Football at the University of Minnesota Duluth were he was a starter at corner as a true freshman.
His proudest coaching accomplishments include:
- 100 M Dash State Champion (Fastest time in the State)
- 200 M Dash State Champion
- State Qualifiers and medalists in the 100, 200, 4x100, and High Jump.
- Preparing NCAA athletes for their pro day.
- Creating and Implementing speed development programming to groups of over 100+ youth athletes at a time.
