With the Sharpen the Axe Program, we prioritize the safety and well-being of all participants. To ensure that everyone has a positive and productive experience, we have established a 3 strikes policy regarding attendance and safety.
1. Attendance
Participants are EXPECTED to attend all scheduled training sessions. If a participant misses a session without a valid excuse (e.g., illness, emergency), they will receive a strike. If a participant accumulates 3 strikes, they may be removed from the program.
2. Safety
Participants are expected to follow all safety guidelines and instructions provided by the coaches. Failure to comply with safety measures or engaging in unsafe behavior will result in a strike. Examples of unsafe behavior include, but are not limited to, lifting too much weight against coaches' direction, not respecting coaches or administrators, or engaging in horseplay.
3. Communication
Participants are expected to communicate any concerns or issues with the coaches IN PERSON in a timely and respectful manner. Failure to do so may result in a strike. If you cannot communicate with us in person EMAIL US at sharpentheaxehhs@gmail.com
Strikes will be recorded by the coaches and communicated to the participant and their parents/guardians. Depending on the severity of the infraction, the coaches may choose to issue a warning before giving a strike. We believe that this policy will help us maintain a safe and productive environment for all participants. We appreciate your cooperation and commitment to the program.

4th of July is a popular holiday for many families so we will plan to not have sessions July 3rd-July 5th. July 6th and 7th will have an adjusted schedule. TBD
Our Sharpen the Axe program is targeted for those who attend the school district of Holmen. The facilities at HHS are amazing, and the program is to benefit Holmen students. If you want to inquire about a unique situation, please reach out by email and we will get back to you.
The Sharpen the Axe program is designed for the Holmen Middle/High School athletes.
For this I will refer to our Attendance Policy section.
The plan is to hand out t-shirts as soon as they arrive as this can be a tedious process.
All you need is a water bottle, comfortable clothes to move in, and athletic type shoes. This year will be different in how we operate with the programming software, so phones are no longer needed in the weightroom.
